“The Time of Your Life” video

This project began, as is often the case, with experimenting/playing…this time with digital collage/painting. I found some of the resulting images to be surprisingly haunting, arresting, introspective…so I created a few dozen similarly themed hi-res images over a period of a few months. Since I can’t hang them in the form of prints—and in sequence—in your home, I decided putting some of them in video form would be the next best way to relate the impact to you…but I’m asking you to keep one thing top of mind while watching the video: namely, that the “hair,” in every single image, symbolizes the flow of time…………………………….

View at full screen by clicking the icon at the bottom right of the video frame. Note there is no soundtrack.

If you’re local, you can catch a more impactful projector screening of it in the darkened media room of Art at the Cave Gallery in downtown Vancouver, Washington (during the month of March, 2023).
